Animal Proteins

Various types of animal proteins are available. Here are a few.

Porcine MBM

Pork Meat and Bone Meal is a product resulting from cooking pork byproducts and made up of meaty parts (offal) and bone. The feedstock is collected from facilities inspected by the Competent Agencies, such as slaughterhouses, butchery and meat houses.
Processing occurs in accordance with norms of the Ministry of Agriculture and Antioxidants are used in its composition to prevent the oxidation of the fats.Due to its nutritional characteristics, containing protein, calcium, phosphorous and fat, it is a product that has advantages for the formulation of animal feed, enabling a greater and improved cost/benefit ratio.
Pork Meat and Bone Meal is sold in custom 50-kg polypropylene valved bags and in bulk.

Product application.
The Meat and Bone Meal is used as an ingredient in the production of balanced animal feed, and is marketed to make poultry, swine, and pet feed.

Blood Meal

Blood Meal is a byproduct of the cooking of animal blood. It consists of red blood cells and is free of any type of contaminant. The feedstock (fresh blood) is collected from facilities inspected by the Competent Authorities. Processing occurs in accordance with norms set forth by the Ministry of Agriculture under SIF/DIPOA No. 0004/4618 (Patos de Minas-MG).
Anticoagulants are used in its composition. It has high protein value, which is its main nutritional characteristic and advantage in the formulation of animal feed, as it allows a greater use and an improved cost/benefit ratio. Blood meal is sold in 30-Kg custom valved paper bags.

Product application.
Blood Meal is used as an ingredient in the production of balanced animal feed, and is marketed to make poultry, swine, and pet feed.

Poultry Meal

Poultry Meal also known as Poultry By-product Meal (PBM) is rich in protein, fat and minerals and a good source of essential amino acids for monogastric species.

We are able to offer PM from Australia. It is important to point out that a colour variation in product may be observed due to the raw material mix processed on the day. Colour has nothing to do with quality however. It depends on what the mix is made up with at that particular time of production which will determine the colour.

Fish Meal

Fish meal, or fishmeal, is a commercial product made from fish and the bones and offal from processed fish. It is a brown powder or cake obtained by drying the fish or fish trimmings, often after cooking, and then grinding it. If it is a fatty fish it is also pressed to extract most of the fish oil.

Fishmeal is a nutrient-rich and high-protein supplement feed ingredient that stores well, and is used primarily in diets for domestic animals and sometimes as a high-quality organic fertilizer.

Feather Meal

Feather meal is a byproduct of processing poultry; it is made from poultry feathers by partially hydrolyzing them under elevated heat and pressure, and then grinding and drying. Although total nitrogen levels are fairly high (up to 12%), the bio-availability of this nitrogen may be low. Feather meal is used in formulated animal feed and in organic fertilizer.
Worldwide, more than 25 billion chickens are used for human consumption. Feather meal is made through a process called rendering. Steam pressure cookers with temperatures over 140°C are used to "cook" and sterilize the feathers. This partially hydrolyzes the proteins, which denatures them. It is then dried, cooled and ground into a powder for use as a nitrogen source for animal feed (mostly ruminants) or as an organic soil amendment.

Containing up to 12% nitrogen, it is a source of slow-release, organic, high-nitrogen fertilizer for organic gardens. It is not water soluble and does not make a good liquid fertilizer.
